FOOTLIGHT
Tony
French and Ardmore Footlight winning the Welsh Junior Combination class
in 1979 at Quentin.
Ardmore
Footlight came to be bred to the TB mares but we all quickly discovered
what a delight Welsh ponies are. I showed him in hand and driving, my
daughter piled all the cats on his back, hopped on and, with the dogs
following and they took off cross country. He sired many Welsh and 1/2
Welsh ponies - including Picturesque who was Champion Pony at the Washington
International show. Under her previous name, Heavenly Investment, she
had been Pony Champion of the Breeding Division at Devon.
ARDMORE

Artist came for a year, stayed until he died at 32, having sired his
last foal at the age of 30. He and Liseter Gladdragoness, had three
lovely offspring - Glencoe Gomby, Glencoe Hallmark and Glencoe Ingenue.
They were all successful in hand and performance and sires. He also
sired ponies to win in performance and driving.

by Artist were all stars, one of whom,
Glencoe
Ingenue is now back in the brood mare band, then a filly, Glencoe Kalos
by Ardmore Afterglo, won in hand, had a top colt, Brighton Glo Again,
and she was sold to Massachusetts where she showed under the name of
Brighton Little Bit.
